What is this program?
Cell phones contain resources that can often be reused. They also contain materials that can harm the environment if disposed of improperly.
Join with us in harvesting the reusable portions and protecting the environment! We are collecting any old, outdated or broken phones or PDAs. |
How does it work?
The National Museum of Education is collecting any cell phones for recycling. We receive financial support from EnviroCellular LLC for every phone, cellular phone battery, recharger or PDA that we collect. |
How can we help?
- Request free giant stickers for your collection boxes.
- Place the boxes in easy-to-see locations for your staff, school or the public.
- Contact us (for pick-up in NE Ohio) or mail them to NMOE, 80 W Bowery, Suite 305, Akron, Ohio 44308
What about the stored data on the phone?
We recommend that you clear stored contacts, text messages, photos or other files. What you are unable to clear, EnviroCellular will safely and privately clear for you. |
How do we submit phones?
Once you have collected some phones, you may mail them to us (NMOE, 80 W Bowery, Suite 305, Akron, Ohio 44308) or call us. We may be able to make arrangements to pick them up if you are in Northeastern Ohio. |
What are the deadlines for submitting phones?
There are no deadlines! |
