July 9, 2007

I am very sad, but also relieved, to announce that the body of Christine Boskoff was found on July 3.  Christine was an adventurer like me.  She and her friend, Charlie Fowler, got lost in an avalanche in Ganyan Peak, a mountain in China.  An avalanche occurs when tons of snow suddenly slides off a mountain peak.  Charlie’s body was found earlier.

At Around-n-Over, we raised money to help the search effort.  Our fundraiser is called the Boskoff-Fowler Search and Rescue Fund.  After the search effort is paid for, the leftover money will go to a school in Nepal, a country in Asia.

If you want to help this school, you can donate money to Around-n-Over.  Just write “BFSAR fund” on your donation.
