As I lay back in my cabin to start this update, the wind was blowing from the southwest. The temperature was comfortable and I didn’t have to wear extra layers of clothes.
I was losing ground because of the wind. If I could only hold onto the distance I had gained from shore, the winds would turn. I kicked back and waited for the direction of the winds to change.
I kept an eye on the compass and set my alarm clock to wake me up every two hours. By morning the boat was heading due south.
So you think I worry about the wind out here all the time? Well, you may be partly right. Losing ground is very disappointing.
