July4 2007
I wanted to see if I could find a better place to start. I went north to Bodega Bay. I talked to fishermen. They said the wind usually calms down at night. Then it is very calm by morning. This was a good place to start.
I rode my bike to Bodega Bay on July 2. Then I drove with my friends, Vanya and Eve, to Olema.
On the way, we passed the ocean and the waters were calm. There were no strong winds at all. I said, “Darn, I could have set off right now.” But I had driven a car instead of riding my bike. My whole trip has to be human powered, so I moved on to dinner.
My friend brought me my bike later in the day. I rode back to Bodega Bay. The weather sure did change! Dark clouds were in the sky.
Next week, the weather looks better. I plan on setting off from Bodega Bay. I rode my bike here.
