July 29, 2007

As a mountain climber, the sound my stove made me feel better in the cold.  What makes me feel better me on the ocean?  The sound of my water maker.  My life depends on having water to drink.  The ocean is full of water, but humans cannot drink salt water.

I have solar panels on top of my boat. They use the sun’s energy to charge the batteries I keep on board.

Just in case, I have 25 gallons of fresh water in jugs on my boat.  This is enough for 30 days.  I also have two other water makers.
