The National Gallery for America’s Young Inventors is this country’s official organization established to take the great ideas of America’s youth and preserve them forever in history. On October 25, 2008 the National Gallery for America’s Young Inventors, the largest program administered by The National Museum of Education, will once again be hosting America’s young inventors at our Induction Ceremony and Benefit at the Radisson Hotel, Akron, Ohio at 12:00 noon. This is the second year that The National Museum of Education is joining with The Edison Innovation Foundation for a historic partnership to oversee the annual awards program, which features the “Edison Innovation Award”. America’s major networks and magazines will be present in Akron to cover this thirteenth annual national event. Our three-day gala celebration will culminate in an elegant banquet and induction ceremony wherein young inventors from primary through senior high school will be recognized for their outstanding inventive achievements.
The quality and engineering of the inventions on display at the banquet are amazing! Each entry is a winner of a national invention contest, has been patented and/or manufactured. This spectacular semi-formal induction ceremony will be a wonderful opportunity for your corporate members and their children to see what these young people from across the country have accomplished. As Peter Haugen, one of our former National Gallery inductees, said, “You will never again be in a room with so many brilliant young people!”
We are asking your corporation to sponsor a family for the weekend event. Your $5,000 family sponsorship will also reserve a table--seating eight—for one family plus any of your corporate staff who may wish to attend. Unused spaces will be donated to interested school-age students who otherwise would not be able to attend. This $5,000 sponsorship will be totally tax-deductible for your company.
In addition, this year’s speaker, Dr. Ronald Mallett is a theoretical physicist from the University of Connecticut. Dr. Mallett is working on a time machine to move an atomic particle backward in time. His best-selling book, TIME TRAVELER , has become the inspiration for an upcoming movie by Director Spike Lee and filming will begin soon. It will be a rare opportunity to meet a charismatic, brilliant scientist. We feel extremely privileged to have him come to Akron, Ohio to share his life story and his dream with our community.
Corporate family sponsors will be recognized in the following ways:
- Corporate family table tent at the Induction Ceremony
- Your corporate name in the banquet program
- Framed recognition award
- Listing on the PowerPoint presentation running continuously during the National Gallery Induction Ceremony and Benefit on October 25, 2008
- A full-year exposure on the front page of our website: www.nmoe.org (at your company’s discretion)
- Each $5,000 sponsor will receive one fourth of a page on our digital newsletter, which will be directly sent to approximately 5,000 recipients.
- Your sponsorship participation will be permanently archived and prominently displayed on the business portion of our website.
- An original, one-of-a-kind collector’s item, which is cylindrical record from the turn of the 20th century Thomas Edison Phonograph Company. (see item here)
- A table seating 8 (lunch included) will be reserved for your family members, employees, or clients. (If you choose, we will donate unused seats to area students)
- You will automatically, as the purchaser, have 8 tickets to enter in a raffle for various prizes.
A corporate family sponsorship budget is available upon request.
This is a wonderful opportunity for your corporation to show your support and to encourage America’s students to excel in education!
Sincerely,
Nicholas D. Frankovits
