It recognizes the unsung heroes of education -- support staff, secretaries, bus drivers, custodial staff, kitchen staff, volunteers, parent teacher organization members or anyone who has sacrificed for the sake of educating.

It reveres the integrity of students and learners who have shown that they can make a difference in education either by assisting other students or by their own success or improvement.
