45% of people worldwide are affected by oral/periodontal diseases and cavities. Due to cost and inaccessibility, oral care is also often neglected in developing countries. To fix this, we made OralAI, a dental disease detection system for at-home oral health monitoring. Using state-of-the-art artificial intelligence models and a special type of light, OralAI is able to locate where cavities will form, months before they do. It works with a mobile app to allow for instant analysis and communication with dentists, overall marking a significant advancement in oral health monitoring with the potential to help billions globally.
