Miss Hefty was my math teacher throughout the most difficult times in my life (Junior High). I had been held back in 7th grade and caused many problems in class. Miss Hefty took the initiative to confront, challenge, and encourage me to dig myself out of the educational rut. Miss Hefty helped change my outlook on education and now I working to finish my degree in History. Miss Hefty, You have achieved what many educators deserve and never receive: Thank you for influencing my life.
