When people have chronic pain, their brain activity is altered and can become difficult to change. While drugs and other devices attempt to treat pain, current therapies often induce side-effects, take a long time to work, and are expensive. My wearable device, SHIFT, is able to modify brain waves to significantly decrease pain, in a comfortable, non-addictive, affordable, and rapidly effective manner. Coming in the form of a discrete cadet cap, this device uses weak magnetic fields to allow for portable pain treatment in less than 30 minutes.
