This project develops a novel technique and device that allows phosphorene, a potential supermaterial with naturally fast degradation in oxygen and moisture, to be used in an ambient environmnent. Using the technique, phosphorene was made into a simple, low cost, scalable nanodevice and has potential applications ranging in everything from creating low cost, ultrafast electronics to revolutionizing the efficiency of batteries and photovoltaic cells.
